Shipping policy

Your order will be dispatched within 2 working days of receiving your order and shipments take place from Tuesday to Saturday. We are a small family-run business and do not want to compromise on the level of service we offer our customers in-store, over the phone or by e-mail. Because all our customers deserve detailed attention, we always do our utmost to make shipping as fast as possible. Julius Boutique's estimated delivery time and shipping costs vary by region. We depend on carrier delivery times, but many EU countries qualify for next-day and within two days delivery services.

Delivery costs
Shipping costs are automatically calculated at checkout. Your products will be delivered via high-quality courier services. After we dispatch your package, you will receive an e-mail with a track & trace number so you can easily track where your package is.

All items are insured during transport from Julius Boutique to the shipping address. Once your items have been delivered to the specified delivery address and signed for, they are no longer insured. If your box is damaged on arrival, we recommend that you refuse delivery or make a note to the courier when signing that you accept a damaged box. Due to the high value of the goods we sell, we require proof of delivery for all orders. This means we cannot authorise packages to be delivered without a signature.

Return policy
Should your purchase from Julius Boutique not meet your expectations, you may return the product in its original and unused condition, with all labels and tags attached, within 14 days of delivery for a refund or exchange. Shipping costs will not be refunded.

Return or exchange
After we receive your returns correctly in our shop, we will refund the total purchase price of the products within 10 working days via bank transfer. If you choose to receive an exchange product, it will be reshipped if available within 5 working days after we receive your return. Please feel free to contact Julius Boutique with any questions regarding your return, refund or exchange at service@julius-boutique.com or +31 43 325 55 18. If you wish to return the product to Julius Boutique, you are responsible for the return transport.

Return conditions
We inspect all returned products. All goods must be returned in perfect condition along with a copy of your original invoice/delivery note. The product must be returned with the original packaging with no signs of use. Return shipping costs are your responsibility. Items must be returned new, unused and with all labels still attached. Returns that are damaged, dirty or altered may not be accepted and may be returned to the customer.

In brief:

  • The product shows visible signs of use
  • The product is returned without original packaging and/or product labels
  • The product is damaged as a result of return transport

If present, straps and any branded packaging such as authenticity cards, dust bags and leather labels should be attached to your return shipment.

Specific return conditions for shoes
All shoes should be fitted on a carpet-covered surface until you are sure to keep them. Shoes should be returned undamaged and in their original, undamaged shoe box, as this is considered part of the product. Shoes returned without a box, in a damaged box or with marked soles may not be accepted and may be returned to the customer.

Defective goods
Goods are classified as defective if they are received damaged or if a manufacturing defect occurs within six months of purchase. Please note that items damaged due to wear and tear are not considered defective.

Where possible, we offer to repair defective items. If you wish to exchange your item, please note that we can only replace it for the same product in the same size, subject to availability. You will only receive a full refund if the item cannot be repaired or replaced.

If everything is fine and an item is confirmed by us as a defective good, we will refund your payment (excluding import duties, taxes and other charges). In case of a return, all shipping costs will be charged.

If the original product is defective in any way or does not comply with the order placed, we will gladly refund the purchase price paid, the return shipping costs; any customs duties, import duties and goods taxes (upon proof of payment, i.e. a receipt), plus the original shipping costs. Similarly, no goods will be taken back if they show signs of damage or interference, such as

  • Natural wear and tear
  • Events beyond our control, e.g. natural disasters
  • Signs of improper use
  • Interference by the customer or a third person
  • Extreme use or extreme influence by the customer

Shipping and other details
No costs will be refunded if the product(s) are lost during return shipping. We therefore advise you to return all items using a shipping company that offers an insured track & trace service.

Can I return an item for repair?
We work with a workshop where you can return your shoes for repair. Always contact us at service@julius-boutique.com before sending an item to us. If you wish it to be done directly by the maker of the shoes, you may contact the customer service of the relevant company directly. 

Can I order items from your website that are currently out of stock? Julius Boutique does not work with a waiting list; when more sizes become available, they are immediately displayed online and available for purchase. You can always contact us at service@julius-boutique.com to request more information about a product that is not available in your size and for information on ordering times.

Warranty
In case of a material defect in the product, please notify us as soon as possible and then send the product to us. We can then send it to the maker of the product for assessment. All requests must be confirmed in writing by us before being returned.

It is up to you to check the products upon delivery and notify us within 21 days. If you fail to do so, you will lose your rights.

Other claims for damages and indemnification are governed by the provisions of Dutch law and we are only liable for gross negligence and intent. This includes our employees or other personnel. Binding legal conditions (i.e. law of product liability) are not affected. 

(Return) policy for pre-order items

  • Pre-orders are only open for a limited but stated time, usually 4 weeks. Therefore, if you ordered at the beginning of the pre-order period, you may have to wait up to 12-16 weeks before you receive your shoes.
  • For pre-orders of stock items, a 50% deposit is required and only after payment is made will your shoe go into production. The remaining 50% should be paid one week before delivery. The deposit cannot be refunded or exchanged.
  • For pre-orders of non-stock items, the Made to Order shoes, a deposit of 100% is required and only after payment, your shoe will be scheduled for production. The deposit is non-refundable or exchangeable.
  • All available sizes for which you can place your pre-order are listed on our website. If your size is not listed, it is also not possible to order this particular shoe in your size.
  • After the order has been confirmed by Shoes & Shirts, no size changes or other additions can be made.
  • The final payment must be received by Shoes & Shirts within 7 days of notification.
  • We reserve the right to limit and/or refuse orders.
  • Pre-orders can be returned, but only for shop credit. Otherwise, they are subject to our normal return policy.
