The Crockett & Jones Crawford is a classic penny loafer from their handgrade collection, which emphasises the finer aspects of traditional shoemaking. All handgrade styles are made on specialist lasts with asymmetrical fits for the best possible fit. The 363 last is the right choice for a penny loafer, with a soft rounded toe and a slimmer back to reduce heel slip. The upper is made from 'antique calf', which has a beautiful hand patinated colour. This makes for a very versatile loafer that can be worn with a business suit, but also with a well-fitting pair of jeans and a sports jacket.

For 5 generations, the family-run Crockett & Jones in Northampton has been committed to maintaining the highest standards of traditional craftsmanship, quality and service that have been appreciated by their customers for over 130 years. They specialise in the production of high-quality Goodyear-welted footwear.

Crockett & Jones produces 2 series, the so-called "main collection" and the "handgrade collection". Both lines have a goodyear welted construction which gives each shoe exceptional strength, durability and wearing comfort. This method was invented centuries ago by artisans. In eight production stages, each pair of shoes undergoes more than 200 individual operations. This process takes about eight weeks, for the handmade collection the process can take up to 10 weeks, but this also results in the highest quality and a tailor-made look.
