The Crockett & Jones Hardwick is a sleek suede split toe derby made on the sleek 341 last. We love split toe derbies because they can range from extremely sleek to quite rounded, while all sharing the signature toe and apron. The Hardwick is quite sleek because it is made on the 341 last, this particular last has to be one of Crockett & Jones' most balanced lasts as it takes some of the best features of more contemporary and classic lasts - resulting in a last that is neither too rounded nor too long. This particular pair is made from a soft dark brown suede and is made on Crockett & Jones' city sole.

For 5 generations, the family-run Crockett & Jones in Northampton has been committed to maintaining the highest standards of traditional craftsmanship, quality and service that have been appreciated by their customers for over 130 years. They specialise in the production of high-quality Goodyear-welted footwear.

Crockett & Jones produces 2 series, the so-called "main collection" and the "handgrade collection". Both lines have a goodyear welted construction which gives each shoe exceptional strength, durability and wearing comfort. This method was invented centuries ago by artisans. In eight production stages, each pair of shoes undergoes more than 200 individual operations. This process takes about eight weeks, for the handmade collection the process can take up to 10 weeks, but this also results in the highest quality and a tailor-made look.
