Our Julius collection has been developed with the intention of offering slightly more modern styles with an excellent price-quality ratio. These shoes are goodyear welted in Spain. The Calpe II chukka is made from a beautiful dark blue suede that is contrasted with a lighter 'vibram gumlite' sole. As with many shoes in our collection, we have chosen to make beautiful matching straps from the same piece of suede. This chukka is perfect for those sunny spring days and summer nights!

This size chart will help you find the best fit, but it remains estimated sizes and dimensions. It also remains dependent on a number of factors. For example, there may be differences per maker and per last, but also the type of material is often a determining factor.
We can of course also help you personally to determine the right size. It is often nice to have an indication of your shoe size from other shoemakers.

Our 'Julius' products are carefully made to our exact specifications thanks to our many years of experience.

In the 'Julius' shoe collection you will find timeless classics of excellent quality, both goodyear welted and blake welted, manufactured in Italy and Spain. Made by skilled shoemakers who have been making shoes for many generations.

Origin of the 'Julius' collection

Since I was a child, I have been visiting the world's highest quality shoe workshops and factories. I even made my own shoes during a 6-month internship at Crockett & Jones. During all those years, I have also spoken to many experienced and passionate people who are in the same business, from manufacturers to retailers. And twice a year at the 'Pitti Uomo' I get my extra inspiration boost by meeting many creative people.

I can truly say that I feel a lot of appreciation and respect for the makers, some of whom we have been working with for more than 36 years. Each of them has their own signature and authenticity and can therefore coexist.

A few years ago we felt the time was right to start developing our own collection that can coexist with the other makers we work with. In this collection you will find all the knowledge and experience we have.

We personally select the materials and further develop the collection together with the makers. The collection offers timeless and elegant classics of excellent quality, made by craftsmen in Spain and Italy. The collection exists because we simply want to share the pleasure of wearing a well-made shoe.

By introducing this collection, a wider audience can get the experience of wearing a well-made shoe with a very good price/quality balance.
