The Crockett & Jones Chelsea 8 is probably the most versatile Chelsea boot in the C&J collection. These boots are made on their 341 last, a slightly elongated last with an almond shaped toe. With the ''City'' rubber sole for extra grip and the finest dark brown suede that is tanned to be water repellent, wet environments can be braved with ease. Thanks to the ''City'' rubber soles, the boots remain elegant, as they are indistinguishable from single leather soles. Unlike most Chelsea boots, the Chelsea 8 has ''V'' shaped elastic on the sides instead of ''U'' shaped elastic on the sides, this makes for an easier ''slip on''. The dark brown suede and classic last ensure that these boots can be worn with a wide variety of casual outfits.

They specialise in the production of high-quality Goodyear-welted footwear.
Crockett & Jones produces 2 series, the so-called "main collection" and the "handgrade collection". Both lines have a goodyear welted construction which gives each shoe exceptional strength, durability and wearing comfort. This method was invented centuries ago by artisans. In eight production stages, each pair of shoes undergoes more than 200 individual operations. This process takes about eight weeks, for the handmade collection the process can take up to 10 weeks, but this also results in the highest quality and a tailor-made look.
