Portman Espresso Suede

The Crockett & Jones Portman is a single monkstrap with a special twist. Part of their handgrade collection, these shoes are defined by the refinements typically found at the highest levels of shoemaking, such as closed channel stitching and asymmetrical lasts. The sleek 358 last and extended vamp make this shoe one of Crockett & Jones’ most elegant offerings. The Portman differs from other monkstraps in that it does not require the visible monkstrap to fasten. These shoes can be slipped on and then held in place by a hidden piece of elastic. This fastening method eliminates most of the instep issues one can experience with a regular pair of monkstraps.
