The Savile 4 is the new version of the previous Savile from Crockett & Jones. The Savile 4 is made on the 367 last, an updated version of the 337 last that was used for the previous version of the Savile; the __367 last retains the fit qualities in the forefoot, but has a slightly more aggressive tapered shape in the waist and a slightly narrower fit in the heel. When comparing both models it is clear that they retain the same identity, despite the small differences between them. For those who prefer a narrower heel, we can try on the dark brown version and order the desired size. The Savile 4 is part of the Handgrade line from Crockett & Jones, which means that these shoes are made to the highest standards with more refined features such as closed channeled soles or the use of asymmetrical lasts.
